The F1 team removed his new front wing and handed it to Vettel after the component broke on his car in final practice, but though the German won pole, Webber overtook him on the first bend and Vettel crashed out after trying to stop him squeezing through. “Not bad for a No2 driver,” said the Aussie over his radio, making his point in no uncertain terms before millions of viewers.
