Mobile gambling specialist Probability saw revenues increase 38 percent in the six months to September 30 thanks to a number of white-label partnerships. Revenue grew from £3.27million to £4.53m year-on-year and came after the firm recruited half of its 29 live white label customers in the past six months. It meant deposits from that area increased by 45 percent and comes as the firm explained that it plans to “introduce a white label offering in the Italian market” at the “earliest opportunity”. None of this could offset a pre-tax loss of £658,000 and Charles Cohen, chief executive, added: “We are rapidly building Probability to be both big and profitable, a balanced and truly international leader in regulated gambling markets.”
Virgin Games have become the latest firm to launch a casino app aimed exclusively at tablets. The web-based app has been designed to be able to be played on any tablet device and “has been built to respond to the exponential rise of the tablet as a primary entertainment device” according to the firm. It currently has a selection of 16 different casino games from the likes of IGT and Microgaming and the release means that Virgin Casino players can now access the site across every medium you could ever imagine.
Skybet has also dived into the mobile casino pond with a new HTML5 portal for its Sky Vegas Mobile Casino. eGR reports the new offering has been developed using OpenBet’s mobile backend solution and benefits from content supplied by a plethora of software providers. It means that Deal or No Deal, X Factor, a slot based on Viz and a number of other games will feature a number of other popular games for players to get stuck into. Head of platform and product, Gary Wimbridge, explained the reason they chose HTML5 was “because of the restrictions placed on the app marketplaces” and that it “would be a quicker route to market”.
