EPT San Remo has reached the final 64 players with the fight for the latest crown tight heading into day four. Canadian Christopher McClung sits in the lead with a stack of 1,202,000 and is the only one to have broken through the million-chip mark. Five players sit clustered around the 800,000 chip mark with the leader going into day three Joseph Cheong sitting in fourth on 833,000. Two former EPT champions are still alive in the shape of Kevin MacPhee (did you know it comes up as Mashpee or Machete on auto-correct) and Mike MacDonald. The most dangerous challenge could come from WSOPE champion Elio Fox who continues to lurk in tenth place. It just goes to show he wasn’t just out to ‘f’ over James Bord.
The home challenge is led by Angelo Tarallo in third place as he looks to get his hands on the €800,000 first prize and home bragging rights. Top ten in the chip count are as follows:
