With betting now becoming legal in the U.S., there is a myriad of gambling sites that are looking to affiliate themselves with individual states in the country to offer their sites and apps to consumers. One of those is Better Collective, which touts themselves as a leading developer of educational platforms within the iGaming industry.
On their website, the company explains that they create products which they hope will make the sports betting and gambling industries a lot more entertaining, as well as transparent and fair. Recently, Marc Pederson, VP of business development and sales at Better Collective, explained to Becky Liggero of CalvinAyre.com that the company has been looking to build their presence in the United States.
One way for the Danish operation to do so has been to turn to an NFL legend to help promote what Better Collective has to offer. This meant that long-time NFL kicker Morten Andersen has been speaking on behalf of the company, and he sat down with Liggero for a brief interview.
Speaking at the Betting on Sports America conference, Andersen explained that Better Collective is ready to make their presence known in the United States: “Better Collective is one of the major players here. They are going to do great in the U.S. market. I think that they have done their due diligence.”
What separates Better Collective from other sites, according to Andersen, is that they want users to approach the site with the right attitude:
“They (Better Collective) are very focused on educating the gamer, the iGamer. Which I think is very important to empower the end-user to really help them understand that when they’re betting that it’s No. 1 for entertainment, but also with that there is a responsibility to gamble responsibly and to understand, just like drinking, that it is for entertainment, and you have to be willing to say at $200 I will quit and I’m willing to lose it. You can’t make this a living; it should be fun.”
As a guy who spent 25 years in the NFL, proving himself each and every week, Andersen understands that the proof is in the pudding. Therefore, he encourages users to find out what Better Collective is all about. “I invite the end-user to go to their website, obviously, and to engage with us and to educate themselves on to make the experience more powerful and entertaining,” he said.
