SiGMA delivered a massive, record breaking show this year at the Malta Fairs and Conventions Center and closed its fifth edition like no other. With more conferences on emerging technology, an eSports summit and the prestigious Sigma Pitch, the third and last day of Sigma 2018 couldn’t be any more packed and better.
Day 3 kicked off with sessions on hot next-gen technologies—blockchain and artificial intelligence. SiGMA paved the way for some companies to present these trends and available solutions for the ever growing iGaming community.
Dao Casino, a new blockchain-centered company based in Moscow, presented SDK tools for automating blockchain services and creating games for the industry. Persado, a creative artificial intelligence (AI) solutions platform introduced its services to the gaming industry for the first time thru this show.
At the much-awaited Sigma Pitch, a panel of seven judges—investors and key movers in the industry—narrowed down 100 startups to 10 finalists. Ten presentations took place on stage and only one came up on top: Tel-Aviv-based company Tomobox with their first AI-driven concierge for iGaming stage won the competition. They were awarded with a trophy and of course, notable investment opportunities, office space and a lot more.
The rest of the finalists include Betflow, Betzest, Blockverse, ConversionBet, Ecertic, Invictus, Karmafy, Much Better, and Quints.
SiGMA 2018 pulled all stops this year turning into a worldwide iGaming legend. For the last five years, SiGMA has grown from a small iGaming show in Malta to a go-to iGaming global event. SiGMA’s very own Eman Pulis is thrilled about the success of this event and shared what’s next for the company.
“We started gaming five years ago. We embraced blockchain this year,” he said, adding, “I think the government will soon be launching a regulatory framework for artificial intelligence so stay tuned. You will be seeing something going on in AI.”
