Three tales from the world of Esports and gambling including compLexity inking a deal with the WinStar Casino, the Polish outfit STS bringing Esports to mobile and GG.Bet signing deals with three Dota 2 teams.
Did you know that people who call a Maximum Security Prison ‘home’ spend more time outside than your average youngster?
It’s true.
A 2017 study of 12,000 parents showed that a third of kids spend less than 30-minutes outside each day. As a father, I assume one of the reasons is fear of someone kidnapping them before dealing with their body like King Edward I did with William Wallace.
Then you have video games, the best reason to stay indoors since the boogeyman.
And on the subject of video games, here are three gambling stories from the world of Esports.
Complexity Gaming Inks Deal With Winstar
In December 2017, Dallas Cowboys owner, Jerry Jones, bought compLexity Gaming for an undisclosed sum, and this week, Jones leveraged his business relationships to draw more attention to the Esports outfit.
The WinStar World Casino & Resort in Thackerville, Oklahoma has become the Official Casino Partner of compLexity Gaming with Jason Lake, CEO of compLexity telling the press that the partnership signals a significant shift in the esports sphere toward making competitive gaming entertainment even more mainstream.
It’s a significant piece of news for Esports and gambling as it is the first time a US Esports based team has brokered a deal with a land-based casino. WinStar is also the Official Casino Partner of the Dallas Cowboys, a first in NFL history.
Star-Typ Sport (STS) Creates Esports Mobile Betting Solution
Star-Typ Sport (STS) became the first bookmaker to introduce esports betting to Poland in 2014, and four years on they break the mould once more in becoming the first Esports bookmaker to go mobile.
STS is also the official bookmaker of the Polska Liga Esportowa, the top Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) competition in Poland, and counts the CS:GO, player, Pawel ‘Innocent’ Mocek, amongst its individual sponsorship deals.
11 bookies are offering Esports betting in Poland including BetClic, BetFan and Fortuna.
The new mobile offering is available on Android and iOS.
GG.Bet Partners With Three Dota 2 Teams
Finally, GG.Bet has signed on the dotted line to partner with Dota 2 teams Alliance, J.Storm and NoPangolier. The deal with Alliance sees them also partner with co-owner and streamer Henrik “AdmiralBulldog” Ahnberg. Alliance count the likes of DXRacer, Twitch and Newzoo as partners.
It’s the first deal for J.Storm since rebranding to VGJ. Storm, and the first deal of this kind for NoPangolier. The three teams join the likes of Natus Vincere, DreamHack and AVANGAR as partners of the online gambling outfit.
