Blumstein, Cada and Miles to compete in 888Poker LIVE London

888Poker welcome World Series of Poker stars Scott Blumstein, Joe Cada and Tony Miles to the 888Poker LIVE London event scheduled to take place in November.

It was a beautiful morning. The sun was shining its arse off. And my wife says, “I wonder what the weather report is like for, today?”

Blumstein, Cada and Miles to compete in 888Poker LIVE LondonWhat a stupid thing to say.

Four hours later and it’s pissing down.

What do I know?

Well, I know this, after two months of travelling throughout Asia, it’s time to return to the UK on Saturday, and when I arrive in London, it will be cold and raining.

You can bet on it.

Thank goodness for London casinos.

It doesn’t rain inside those.

In November, 888Poker moves into Aspers Casino in Stratford for 888Poker LIVE London. To be prompt, turn up at November 22, and to squeeze every inch of action out of the thing, book your hotel room through to December 3.

Looking at the schedule, it promises to be the most significant 888Poker LIVE London event ever, and may even challenge Barcelona for attendance figures.

There are ten events in the lineup and a few firsts.

The Action Clock is in play in all ten events, and no live tournament organiser has ever been as bold. And 888Poker are getting a little big time with a £5,000 Super High Roller (I bet that man Nitsche has something to do with that).

The highlight of the series is the £1,100 buy-in, £400,000 GTD Main Event. There will be five starting flights, and the action takes place Thu Nov 29 to Mon Dec 3. The winner also banks an 888Poker LIVE package for a future event.

There is a £2,200 High Roller planned for Wednesday, November 28. It’s a two-day event with 100,000 chips and a 40-minute clock. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the beginning of Day 2, where they play down to a winner.

The £5,000 Super High Roller takes place on Sunday, December 2, and players have 200,000 chips and play 60-minute levels. Late reg and re-entry rules are the same as the £2,200 version.

If these two price points are a tad extravagant, then don’t lose a bead of sweat. The £220 buy-in Opening Event, with four-starting flights, promises to be a cracker. There is a £100 buy-in Ladies event, for the calmer of the two sexes, a £125 buy-in Pot-Limit Omaha event, and a £80 Turbo DeepStack.

And 888Poker are pulling in the stars.

The 2017 WSOP Main Event Champion Scott Blumstein plays, as does one of the hottest men in poker, right now, the 2009 WSOP Main Event Champion Joe Cada. 2018 WSOP Main Event runner-up, Tony Miles, is also scheduled to compete.

And there is also a new star hitting the 888Poker commentary booth as Ali Nejad joins the team.

Here is the schedule in full.

In October, Tom Hall defeated a field of 427 entrants to capture the £78,888 first prize in the £1,100 888Poker LIVE London Main Event, and Jamie Lunt won the £2,200 High Roller beating 69 entrants to claim the £34,985 first prize.

In other 888Poker news, Chris Moorman won his 29th Online Triple Crown last week, fans got to see Dominik Nitsche preparing, playing and busting from the Big One For One Drop in a mini-docuseries, and Martin Jacobson continues to look like the most beautiful monster in poker.
