iGaming Super Show 2016 Day 2 Recap

iGaming Super Show 2016 Day 2 Recap

The second day of iGaming Super Show 2016 was held today at the RAI in Amsterdam, the largest event of the year dedicated to all aspects of the online gambling industry.

One of today’s highlights included Marcus Tandler’s SEO presentation at Player Acquisition Strategies, one of the four conferences taking place today during the expo floor hours.  Tandler is one of the world’s most talented and charismatic SEO experts, having delivered TEDx speeches in Munich, keynotes at events such as LeWeb, he’s been featured on the radio, lectured at universities, hosted the SEO Octoberfest and has been in the SEO world for eighteen years.

Tandler’s thirty-minute presentation included 318 power point slides, a variety of SEO tips for webmasters and a lot of laughs.  He educated the audience on Google’s forward-thinking strategies and said the company’s future vision is Artificial Intelligence (AI), not search.  “It’s a machine learning company”, he said.

He explained how Google has made a transition from the world’s largest content to the world’s perfect content and Google’s goal is happy users.  With this in mind, Tandler said a good starting point for webmasters is ensuring code is 100% perfect, meaning quick loading, no broken images or links.

“People are used to being served in an instant and if you can’t, someone else will”, he said.

Webmasters must adapt their content strategy to Google updates such as Hummingbird and its important to ask, “if my content disappeared from the web, would anyone miss it?”  Build value, trust and loyalty, he said.

Tandler emphasized content has always been important, but now webmasters must ensure content is of impeccable quality and offsets promotional content.  Use bulleted lists, make sure its snackable and visual…make your site a hub for information, he said.

In addition to offering a number of sessions touching all corners of the iGaming industry, the Super Show serves as perfect place to arrange meetings and introduce new products.

Ganapati is a company in the process of developing Japanese-themed slot content for the European online gambling industry and beyond.  They believe Japanese cartoon characters or “anime”, Japanese fighter games and other games such as Pachinko will appeal to Westerners, especially seeing as the content is something new and exciting.

Mitsuya Fujimoto of Ganapati said he’s overwhelmed with the industry’s interest in his company’s concept so far and his meetings at the Super Show have been incredibly productive.

Exhibitor LeoVegas launched a new product during the Super Show, “LeoVegas Chambre Separee”, the brand’s custom live casino environment.

Karolina Pelc, LeoVegas’s Head of Casino, said her Live Casino team is comprised of experienced professionals coming from the land based casino VIP industry, allowing LeoVegas the opportunity to create a unique live dealer experience and goal to become the best in the market on mobile.

In addition to displaying LeoVegas branding all throughout the offering, Pelc’s live casino product features personalized promotions, an HD experience across all devices, a standalone live casino app, live stream roulette, seven native languages and more.

The Super Show is also a popular venue for unique giveaways, something plenty of industry folk enjoy taking advantage of.  The ActiveWins team had two motorcycle-style leather jackets on display at their booth as end-of-show giveaways, a promotion in line with their Team Bonneville Bantam sponsorship.

Eliot Jacob, ActiveWin’s Affiliate Team Leader explained how affiliates have been receptive to the concept of motorcycle racing and checking out the actual motorcycles themselves at previous iGB Affiliate events, so they kept the same theme for the Super Show and as a result, two lucky affiliates will walk away with badass leather jackets.
