It's Prague for Poker in December

If you are a poker player searching for action in December, Prague is the place to be, with the European Poker Tour, World Poker Tour and Tonybet Open Face Chinese World Championships all being held in the Czech capital.

It's Prague for Poker in DecemberThe Czech capital of Prague will become a great cultural potpourri of poker pizzazz this December with the European Poker Tour (EPT), World Poker Tour (WPT) and Tonybet Poker all hosting events sumptuous enough to lure Saint Nick away from the North Pole.

The first tour to hit this sophisticated part of the world will be the WPT. The team will drop their anchor in the Kings Casino at the Corinthia Hotel. Partypoker is the sponsors, and the festival runs from Nov 29 – Dec 6. The key event is the €3,300 Main Event running Dec 1-6.

Player’s who love their Open Face Chinese (OFC) needn’t move a muscle.

Building on the success of their 2014 inaugural OFC World Championships, Tonybet Poker are back in town, hoping to host an even bigger festival.

The festival, also taking place in Kings Casino, runs Dec 6-9, and they will be introducing a €350 OFC Progressive Pineapple tournament for the first time. The €1,000 OFC World Championships (Re-Entry), and €10,000 OFC High Roller (Re-Entry) will return. There will also be a €120 last minute satellite qualifier for the OFC Main Event.

You can qualify online at Tonybet Poker as I type. Tonybet Ambassador Isabelle Mercier suggests you ready yourself for ‘a lot of fun’ but will be keeping her business head on with her eyes firmly set on winning the World Championship and Progressive Pineapple event.

“It’s one of my favorite events,” Mercier wrote in a press release.

Last year, Mikal Blomlie defeated 135 entries to win the €1,000 World Championship event – a new OFC live tournament attendance record. PokerStars Mindsports Ambassador, Jennifer Shahade, won the €10,000 OFC High Roller – an event that accumulated €218,500 in prize money, another OFC first for a live event.

If OFC Pineapple isn’t your thing, then don’t sweat. The EPT Prague festival is taking place across the road at the Hilton Prague Hotel. This incredible event runs Dec 5-16, and the highlights include the €1,100 Eureka Main Event, €2,200 Eureka High Roller, €5,300 EPT Main Event, €50,000 EPT Super High Roller, €25,500 EPT Single Day High Roller and the €10,300 EPT High Roller.
