One Championship, universally regarded as the biggest mixed martial arts organization in Asia, has teamed up with City of Dreams Manila and online gaming company W66.com to bring the organization’s next major fight card to Manila, Philippines.

In an exclusive, invitation-only media launch held at the City of Dreams Manila, One Championship Vice President Rich “Ace” Franklin laid out the company’s plans ahead of the massive April 23 fight card at the Mall of Asia Arena, billed as “One: Valor of Champions”, headlined by the main event fight between One welterweight world champion Ben “Funky” Askren and his challenger, Luis “Sapo” Santos. The upcoming card will be the sixth event One Championship has staged in the Philippines, continuing a resounding run of excitement and success from the five previous cards held in the country.

According to Franklin, the partnership One Championship struck with City of Dreams Manila and W66.com is particularly important as it highlights the shared interests of the organization and its two partners, allowing them to establish and cultivate an exciting brand of entertainment that can benefit all parties.

“When we do any kind of business relationship, we try to have a ‘win-win’ situation for both sides,” Franklin told CalvinAyre.com.

“We’re not out there looking for sponsorships where the other party doesn’t gain anything from it. At the end of our partnership with W66 and City of Dreams, we would want for them to look at the partnership and see measurable differences in their businesses and be able to attribute that to the partnership they had with us.”

Franklin’s comments were supported by both City of Dreams Vice President for Casino Marketing Michael Quek and W66.com representative Elly Ho. Both attributed their respective decisions to partner with the mixed martial arts organization as an opportunity to showcase their own brands to a shared target audience and expose their brands to more people.

One Championship’s partnership with City of Dreams, in particular, will also see the introduction of the Wheel of Champions and Choose Your Champion gaming promotions, which began on March 10, 2015 and will run until April 25, 2015. As part of the promotion, gamers will get a chance to win over in Php12 million in prizes.

“When you have a company like City of Dreams that can offer promos like Wheel of Champions and Choose Your Champion, it shows how much they’re willing to work with us and it’s also an honor on our end that their doing these promos that our exciting to us, too.”

Much has been said and written about City of Dreams Manila and the deserved praise that has come its way since the resort’s opening in February 2015. In equal terms, the same can be said for W66.com, which is considered as one of the most well-known gaming websites in Asia.

The new partnership these two gaming firms have with One Championship is a boon for all parties concerned and judging by the excitement surrounding the announcement of One: Valor of Champions, these relationships figure to last a very long time.
