Ever since Optimal Payments received its approval papers from the Division of Gaming Enforcement as a payment processor in New Jersey, the company has been aggressively touting its Neteller service to Atlantic City casinos. Well, months of work finally paid off as Optimal Payments has found its partner, announcing a deal with the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa to act as the payment processor to customers of BorgataCasino.com, BorgataPoker.com and nj.partypoker.com.
As part of the partnership between the two companies, Borgata will begin to offer Optimal’s Neteller and Net+ Card services to its customers, all of which will now gain instant access to their funds through their accounts on both services.
Neil Erlick, Optimal Payments’ executive vice-president for business development, remarked about the many benefits of the marriage that both sides signed off on. “Our innovative new payment service provides these market leading brands with our new advanced secure payment option that will support their growth in New Jersey,” Erlick said in a statement.
For Borgata, having Optimal Payments on board allows the casino to take advantage of the payment processor’s advanced payment service. Likewise, having Borgata as a client adds a certain level of cache and good vibes to Optimal Payments’ return to the US online gambling market.
Securing the deal with Borgata is the first big move Optimal Payments has made since getting its permit. But it looks like its far from the last. The Borgata is the first step towards a strategic expansion goal that could see the payment processor embark on more partnerships across the country.
