Manila, Philippines, March 18, 2014 – The Asian Poker Tour has added an event to its busy 2014 tournament schedule. The APT announced its return to Cambodia from July 23rd to the 30th 2014 at the recently-opened poker room in Queenco Casino and Hotel in the Cambodian beach town of Sihanoukville.
Making the announcement, Asian Poker Tour CEO, Jeff Mann said that the all of the APT team were delighted to be returning to Cambodia…
“We missed having an event in the country in 2013 through factors beyond our control, but we are back now with a new poker room partner and an excellent host casino venue; we are even on the beach – it can’t get any better than that!”, said Mann.
Poker@Queenco co-owner Michael Ross commented, “A new poker room could not have a better endorsement than having its first major tournament branded and managed by APT. We are very confident about having a very enjoyable action-packed 8 day event that will attract players from around the World”.
Julian Wagner, Vice President – Operations, Queenco Casino and Hotel said that Sihanoukville was already a popular resort destination for international tourists and added, “We have a lot to offer players; there is so much to see and do, in addition to what will be our first international poker event. We are very sure that all APT players will have a memorable experience which will ensure we stay a permanent destination on APT’s tour calendar in the future”.
The APT Asian Series Cambodia 2014 will consist of 13 side events, 7 satellites, a high roller event, and a Main Event having a buy-in of US 1,100.
