Jay Farber’s post WSOP checklist: House, Ferrari, Aston Martin

wsop-2013-final-table-jay-farber-interview-bl-videoJay Farber was a largely unrecognized man before the 2013 World Series of Poker. But after the Main Event concluded last week, Farber has become a celebrity in his own right.

He may have only finished as the runner-up to eventual winner Ryan Riess, but the man still pocketed over $5 million for finishing second. Well worth the trouble of playing poker with the best pros in the world, if you ask us.

So with all that money at his disposal, Farber is deservedly taking his lifestyle to a whole new level, too. TMZ recently caught up with the Las Vegas nightclub promoter and asked him what he was going to do with all the money he had just won. Like any instant millionaire in his position, Farber was unabashed about what his first purchases are going to be.

A house. A Ferrari. And an Aston Martin.

The man definitely has his automotive tastes down pat, too.

Farber’s rise to poker prominence was as meteoric as it was unexpected. After all, before his runner-up finish at the Main Event of the 2013 WSOP, Farber had no major tournament results, let alone wins, under his belt. He was also one of the least experienced players in the Final Table so the fact that he finished as high as he did is a testament to his patience, determination, and overall solid poker play.

Hey may not have had the credentials of his more experienced competitors, but not a lot of them can say they can buy a house, a Ferrari, and an Aston Martin at a drop of a hat.

Enjoy the spoils of your successful WSOP Main Event run, Jar Farber. You certainly earned it.
