SG Gaming, the gaming arm of Scientific Games Corporation (SGMS), has announced an extension to its Gala Coral deal that sees it adding an online offering to its current land-based operation.
It’s been a bumpy road for SGMS, but like all great companies, the wheels keep on turning. The company that witnessed a $24.7m net loss in Q4 2012; has put that all behind them to put pen to paper on a new deal that sees their games distributed to the Gala Coral online sites to give their players a new interactive SGMS experience. The content will be delivered on the GTS Edge platform and the good old classic Rainbow Riches will be one of the first games available.
Alex Stephens, Managing Director of Interactive at SG Gaming was quoted in the iGaming Post as saying: “We are delighted to be building on the strong foundation of SG Gaming’s relationship with Gala Coral and working with them to bring our legendary games to even more players.”
As a division SG Gaming also saw revenue fall 12.3% to $38.9m in 2012, in part due to the loss of their contract with Ralph Topping’s William Hill and their decision to withdraw from Australia’s over the counter business.
Mark Kemp, E-Gaming Director at Coral was also quoted in the iGaming Post as saying: “We have had a successful relationship with SG Gaming in our retail business for many years and are pleased to be expanding this further into online and multi-channel gaming opportunities, at a time when our Gala and Coral channels continue to expand in popularity since the launch of our new websites and mobile apps.”
The news comes just one month after Gala Coral announced its move to add a 3D offering to its land-based machines in a partnership with Sheriff Gaming.
