Over the past five years, the iGaming industry’s best affiliate sites have been honored at the iGB Affiliate Awards for their contributions in the growth of this particular sector of the gaming industry. It’s a special night because you don’t always get to give due props to the people who work tirelessly to ensure that affiliate sites continue to become an integral cog of the iGaming industry. On February 8, the 2013 IGB Affiliate Awards will take place in London and just like in year’s past, the event will be all about these people.
Set to take place during the London Affiliate Conference, the iGB Affiliate Awards is expected to attract well over 500 of the best and brightest minds in the industry, a lot of whom are probably in the running for an award or two. While they don’t get nearly enough of the credit they deserve for being critical to the success of the iGaming industry, on this night, they are the stars of the show. And we’re the ones giving them the applause and recognition they deserve.
Bigger and better than ever before, the 2013 iGB Affiliate Awards will come with a number of new wrinkles, all of which were made to ensure the continuous improvement of the event. For one, the evening will debut new award categories, including the Most Improved Affiliate Programme, which will be given to the affiliate that has shown the most, well, improvement, in service, presentation, and function in the past year.
But that isn’t the only award that will be up or grabs. This year, the iGB Affiliate Awards will continue to award the Best Affiliate of the numerous gaming sub-categories, including poker, casino, sports, bingo, and financial. But arguably the most important, or at the very least, the most prestigious award is the Best Overall Affiliate, a title won last year by Oddschecker.com.
The iGBAA will also recognize the Best Overall Affiliate Manager for the year (won by Nigel Ridgway of bet365) as well as an awarding the best manager for each of the aforementioned gaming sub-categories. The Best Affiliate Programme also comes with a similar set-up – one winner for each of the gaming subcategories and an overall winner, which was again won last year by bet365. A pair of Best Newcomer awards will also be handed out, one for the Affiliate and one for the Affiliate Programme. Last year, those awards were scooped up by Goal.com and ComeOn!, respectively.
Rounding out the list of awards that are scheduled to be given at the 2013 iGBAA include the first-ever Most Improved Affiliate Programme Award, the Best iGaming Affiliate Network Award (previously won by Income Access), The Lou Fabiano Award For The Best iGaming Community (won by GPWA), and the Best Payment System (won by NETELLER).
For the second year in a row, the iGB Affiliate Awards will be held at The Brewery, which is located at 52 Chiswell Street, EC1Y 4SD. A cocktail reception kicks off the evening at 8 pm followed by a sumptuous three-course festival dinner. From there, the night’s entertainment will commence and after that, the main event, ladies and gentlemen, will officially begin. And wouldn’t you know it, organizers are leaving one final surprise because the ceremony will be hosted a hilariously entertaining comedian.
Rest assured, the 2013 iGaming Business Affiliate Awards will again be a night for the ages, honoring the best of the industry and giving equal praise to the future movers and shakers of the business. A great night all around, we say!
