Mahjong Logic and Bodog 88 set record; bwin.party launch reward program; Sisal goes mobile

Both Mahjong and Bodog 88 have been amazed by the early uptake with Jonas Alm, CEO of Mahjong Logic, stating: “We were always excited to start working with Bodog88 and knew their growth in Asia was huge but until you flick the switch you never really know if customers are going to take to a new product but the early signs are beyond promising. The sign up rate is the fastest we’ve seen to date.”

Bodog88 MD Robert Gustafsson was just as taken back and added: “Our soft launch last week surprised us all with so many early adopters and now as we prepare to start marketing the product properly we are having to revise all targets and I am happy to say in an upwards direction!”

Bwin.party is launching a new rewards program for employees to better integrate staff should acquisitions occur. Employee Benefits report that the company’s 2,700 worldwide members of staff will benefit from the Just.Rewards programme provided by Thomson’s Online Benefits. Phil Hutchinson, reward consultant at Bwin.Party, commented: “We wanted the ability to integrate staff from any organisations we acquire. The company is growing quickly, so it makes sense to have this infrastructure in place. When you look at harmonising similar roles, we make sure everybody, no matter where they are, gets the same total reward.”

The roll out began in the UK and Gibraltar from April 1 with Bulgaria and Indian staff seeing the new program from July 1. Colleagues in Austria, Israel, Italy and Sweden will be able to access the program by the end of the year.

Italian gaming firm Sisal has launched a mobile offering with Mobenga as they aim to take advantage of soccer fans. The sports betting service launched late last week and coincides with the start of Euro 2012 in Ukraine and Poland. Sisal Matchpoint is available to all Apple and Android smartphone owners and gives users the chance to bet-in-play as well as normal ante-post betting. Marco Tiso, Sisal’s digital games business manager, said: “Sisal will invest more and more in innovative mobile solutions, aiming to meet and anticipate new market trends and evolution in our players’ lifestyles.”
