Betfair has continued its recruitment drive by hauling Nick Hagen aboard as their new Sports Operations Director. His tenure starts on December 12th after he’s tied up the odds and ends in his role as COO for sports betting at GTECH G2. His position with the betting exchange will see Hagen overseeing trading operations and developing the company’s risk-based systems “which will play a greater role within the core exchange following the launch of Betfair’s new sports site next year,” according to the news release. The appointment follows Breon Corcoran’s arrival from Paddy Power as new CEO and a number of other key members of staff arriving.

In the feel good story of the day, the forum came to the rescue of Sibley after it was revealed that her funding had been withdraw and her Olympic dream was therefore in jeopardy.
