Aspers have announced further details about the company’s flagship casino that opens on the gateway to the Olympic Park this Christmas. With the Olympics upcoming and investment in London’s East End at an all-time high, the arrival of the country’s largest casino business means the gambling industry has a key role to play in the area’s regeneration.
When it opens in December, the venue will cover 65,000 square feet and feature just about everything you could possibly want in a casino in addition to being open round the clock and only closed on Christmas Day. Promising a “relaxed live gaming experience,” the Westfield Stratford City-based venue features slots, gaming tables, a poker room, casual dining restaurant, Sports Bar and a Sky Bar with views over the Olympic Park. Just the bog standard casino then? Not in the slightest.
If the 40 gaming tables and 92 casino betting terminals weren’t enough then the 150 seat poker rooms with a daily Texas Hold’em tournament should suffice. The best is saved for the legions of sports fans that populate the capital. We mentioned earlier that the venue has a sports bar and it’s no ordinary one. This one goes on all hours of the day, has 60 betting terminals at which to bet and a bar to celebrate winning at. What more could you ask for? Well obviously if the girls serving the beers were wearing bikinis that would help. This is London in December though and we didn’t ask for Bullet Bourbon anyways!
With dining until 4am thrown in this is likely to become on of the gambling industry’s premier venues in the centre of the iGaming universe, London.
