Chiligaming has been eyeing the American online poker market with keen interest, just like everyone else. But the French online gaming operator has taken it one step further and has crossed the pond with plans to open a new office in California and target U.S poker players.
Chiligaming intends to target U.S poker players with a free social gaming poker network.
Where did they come up with that original idea?
In Chiligaming’s favour, their UIGEA-compliant poker network uses the company’s proprietary technology and includes a wide range of social gaming features such as virtual currency, accessible in multiple languages and on multiple devices including iPhone, Android, tablets and social networking websites. Like any operator who starts out offering a free poker network in the US, the company hopes the free-play network will serve as a launch pad towards offering real-money poker in the US when legislation allows.
Chiligaming chief executive Alexandre Dreyfus said in the news release: “The gaming market is evolving and Chiligaming is evolving with it by expanding its operation to become an active social gaming player in addition to an established online gaming operator…Chiliplay.com will be the first brand to launch on the network and we will be welcoming more partners now that all the devices for access are ready.”
Chiligaming has also announced that it will open an office in San Francisco, California, as part of its expansion drive into the U.S and Asia-Pacific region.
The company shouldn’t hold its breath on when online poker will become a reality in California.
