As a group, revenue was up by 4% for the opening 25 weeks of the year but without the Interactive cog of the business, it could be a lot different.

Strong performance from meant that revenue grew by 26% over the first half of the year. This included growth of 33% in sports and 25% in games. Rank also had mobile gaming to thank. 70,000 customers have so far taken advantage of the opportunity to download the Mecca Bingo and Blue Square iPhone app since the launch in January.

The firm also stated that the revenue growth for the year so far was “as a result of cross-selling from Rank’s land-based venues and continued investment in the Group’s brands”.

Meanwhile, eGaming Review has announced that entries are open for this year’s EGR Operator Awards.
