The Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) is set for a tough year as the UK government looks at changing the gambling laws at the detriment of offshore operators.
In addition to this we already saw that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is criticizing their service, as they believe it’s open to money laundering. This is why they felt the need to quote Tony Montana, saying, “you know? Fuck you! How about that?” As yet there’s been no reply, and those across the pond liked it so much that one is entering an alliance with AGCC.
The Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) have agreed terms with AGCC on future cooperation between the two regulatory bodies which will mean enhancements in the field of gaming regulation.
Mark Lipparelli, Chairman of the NGCB, commented, “We are fortunate and appreciative of our relationships with governments around the globe similar to what we have developed with the AGCC. As our licensees continue their global expansion and among new business sectors, we must adapt as an agency. Formalizing these distant relationships is a benefit to all involved from many perspectives including cost, time and quality.”
Under the agreement, both sides will cooperate in the areas of sharing of information, knowledge, skills, and expertise as well as exchange visits and training. You know, like the ones you used to do back when you were young with a school in France – bunk beds and all that jazz.
André Wilsenach, CEO of the AGCC, commented “Cooperation with other regulatory bodies around the world is fundamental to being a successful regulatory body. Considering the Nevada Board’s long-standing history and experience of regulating gaming, we are very pleased to have formalised our cooperation with the Nevada regulator. We are looking forward to working with them in the areas of investigations, compliance and developing technical standards.”
