Rank Group publishes revenue figures

rank-resultsToday was the day for those over at Rank Group to puff out their chests that extra little bit as the company released their results for the last nine week’s worth of trading. If anyone at the group was worried about the results, they needn’t be – unless they’re part of the ailing sportsbook brand.

Like-for-like revenues for the nine weeks up to 5 December 2010 have shown an increase of 3%, with total revenue up 4%. Group revenue up to week 49 of the year was up 7%, like-for-like showing a rise of 4%. The group is particularly happy with the performance of the Grosvenor Casino brand, which has been their main driver.

As far as the Rank Interactive arm of the business goes, it achieved a 5% increase in revenue over the same period and this was mainly down to the performance of Meccabingo.com and Gcasino.com. This offset the losses made by the company’s sportsbook and poker, Bluesquare losing 24% of its revenue over the nine-week period in question.

Looks like most of the group will be out partying tonight, apart from Bluesquare who have all been made to stay on for a 24-hour sit-in at the office.
