For one night at least, Sportsbooks can expect a huge night in boxing to overshadow MMA as two headliners in Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito will square off at the Cowboys Stadium. Good thing there’s a hole in the roof of the stadium because God might even want to check this one out.
BetUS has Pacquiao listed as a -500 favorite compared with the +350 odds for the underdog Margarito heading into Saturday Night. It should be a good bout, although let’s face it, it’s not the Mayweather vs Pacquiao bout that everyone and their mother wants to see, but it might be the next best thing.
You wonder just how much of a chance Margarito has against Pacquiao who has looked almost unbeatable at times. Margarito will have to find a way to get inside of the punching machine that is Pacquiao, but all reports indicate that Margarito is in the best shape of his life. It might not be enough, he might need something more. Surely he’ll have plenty of support in the stands, but I wonder if he’ll be breaking out those cement gloves for this one. I’m just saying.
