Montana Lottery cowboys up with SGI online platform

Now this is big talk for the folks way yonder in Montana, but of all the state lotteries who would have guessed Montana to be taking this route? Well, turns out that through the Gambling Control Division, the Department of Justice regulates all forms of gambling in Montana, that is EXCEPT for the Montana Lottery and horse racing…Ahh.

So then it makes more sense how Scientific Games International has completed the deployment and launch of a new player loyalty platform for the Montana Lottery. This launch comes as the first deployment by SGI of the recently acquired GameLogic platform, and these upgrades will allow Montana lottery players access to a suite of interactive games online. Don’t get too excited, the games are only available on a free-to-play basis.

But it’s clear to see that the Montana Lottery is looking towards the future. They now have an online gaming framework in place and are literally a push of a button away from making it a cash cow. It won’t be long before the company is dishing out online scratch cards and all sorts of games with prizes to be won, as part of its “loyalty program”, which must be Montana talk for online gambling operation.

George Parisot, Director of the Montana Lottery commented in the press release, “We see the Internet as critical to the future of our business. Our lottery is about winning and entertainment and our website needed to be the same. The Scientific Games platform that we launched today will serve as the foundation upon which we can build a truly engaging, high impact loyalty club for our players.”
