Seems private poker companies aren’t just taking market share from their publicly traded brethren, they’re also poaching their poker pros. Apparently bored by inking deals with boxers (Audley Harrison) and tennis stars (James Blake), Full Tilt has gone back to basics by luring Brazilian poker pro Felipe ‘Mojave’ Ramos away from PartyPoker.
In other personnel moves, online poker training site CardRunners has just welcomed John ‘Nicolak’ Kim to its roster of video-making stars. Although Kim says his emphasis will be on post-flop play, he also claims to admire Phil Ivey for ‘being able to get away with degeneracy’, so God only knows what sort of videos Kim will post if his own dark side ever bubbles to the surface.
