phonesIf you’re at all involved with online gaming and you haven’t realized that iGaming is harnessing the powers that be mobile phones then where have you been hiding for the past few months. The advent of the iPhone and iPad, oh and Android, have led to an expansion in companies developing apps for all devices and if you’re still really lost then never fear as there’s been a report released.

Juniper Research’s report, entitled “Mobile Gambling Markets: Casinos, Lotteries & Betting 2010-2015”, is 94-pages long, and explains how the sector is set to expand over the next five years. If people hadn’t already been eager to jump aboard the bandwagon, they’ll now be clamouring for a place after the release of this oh so shiny of reports.

The report goes on the explain that many providers are still deciding to develop browser based technology than go with the closed approach of releasing a program for the App store, therefore targeting a larger market.

Next up: the creation of an App to tell Spread Bettors to be a bit more bloody careful when using a mobile phone to carry out their betting – forgive me if it’s already been created, but there must be a market for an App that gives you a sobering slap round the face, no? Just me then…
