William Hill are having a first half much like AC Milan’s first half performance in the 2005 European Cup final – dominant, successful, and looking unbeatable, mostly thanks to their successful online division. Although Will experienced terrible horseracing results, in particular at the Grand National and Royal Ascot, their net revenue online grew by nearly 24%, and they posted an operating profit of 43%.
They’ve also signed off with a salvo, banning French customers from using the site. Nevertheless they’ll be hoping for continued success and not go the same way as the Milan side did in the second half of that game. Read more.
