Premier League clubs are always aiming to put something back into the community, and their latest pet project is to fund ‘free schools’ in the UK. The league has consulted the government on the plan under which they propose to offer a curriculum based upon sport.
The extent to which the teams will become involved is not known, but word on the street has it that Joey Barton will be offering self defence classes, with language lessons on Merseyside to be provided by the without equal in vocal stakes, Jamie Carragher.
