Ontario Provincial Police investigate lottery winner

Imagine winning the lottery only to find that your win has landed you in an interrogation room with the Ontario Provincial Police, how’s that for a kick in the balls? Terry Bell, after winning just $1, 581 in the 6/49 lottery is being investigated for having a sketchy lottery ticket. According to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, which regulates the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp, the process is mandatory because Mr. Bell is considered a “lottery insider” due to his job at Shoppers Drug Mart, where he sells lottery tickets to customers. In fairness to the OPP, there have been instances of lottery fraud by insiders in the past. Read more.
