Hearing that one man lost around $40k thanks to a New Zealander’s goal in the World Cup seems to have caused those folk down under to continue abandoning gaming machines. New Zealand’s Department of Internal Affairs reported that electronic monitoring showed the number of licence holders, gambling venues, and gaming machines had decreased markedly, and resulted in a drop in revenue of 4.5%.
