Sumo tournament starts with no TV, no fans, no friends?

The government don’t like ‘em, the fans stayed away in their droves, and the TV screens are no longer filled with fat men in nappies pushing each other over, but the show will still go on. The 15-day tournament began in Nagoya amid much controversy, but fans still turned up and apologies were once again made by the sport’s commissioner, however if they’d relaxed gambling rules to allow for betting a wider variety of sports in the first place then this line could have been prevented.
