I was a bit upset a few days back when Bodog Europe were the first in the industry to put up a market on who the new Chief of Ladbrokes will be. I was looking for a number on Ebenezer Scrooge and this was conspicuous in its absence. Bodog Europe bookmaker Jon Thompson likely didn’t have the necessary skills to get this number up with the confidence that Bodog Europe Chief Keith MacDonnell mandates.

However I wake up today and had a bit of a nice surprise. Close on Bodog Europe’s heels, Irish funny guys Paddy Power have given me what I want – a nice juicy Ebenezer market to hit. They must have a surfeit of talent in their bookmaking team to get this number out so fast after the heads up from Bodog on the thirst for this market. As soon as I am done organizing my “Help Haiti” program for the day, I am going to open my account.
