Another bad beat

There’s nothing worse than slow-playing the nuts, luring an opponent into re-raising you all-in and then reading the message “Failed attempt to connect to server” just when you’re about to pull the trigger. It’s poker’s equivalent to coitus interruptus.

And yet that’s what would have happened to numerous players on Full Tilt the other night when a sudden blackout paralyzed the whole system.

The timing couldn’t have been much worse for the the second largest poker room in the world either, as it came during rush hour on Sunday night when Full Tilt were staging a tournament with a guaranteed prize of $750,000. Ouch! Read more.
