Roskomnadzor, Russia’s telecom watchdog has fined Google with US$7,500 over its alleged failure to scrub off its Russian search results of “prohibited domains,” which include gambling websites. The Russian government warned that should Google continue showing blacklisted websites, they won’t hesitate to file an administrative case or increase the penalty to 1% of the company’s annual revenue.
