The Story

Australian billionaire James Packer has let go of yet another post as he continues to recover from his mental health illness.

This is his second resignation in a span of four months.

Packer stepped down from the board of his private investment company, Consolidated Press Holdings (CPH) to reduce his day-to-day work. A spokesman confirmed that the resignation was part of Packer’s recovery from a mental health illness triggered by various scandals, including Crown’s failed expansion bid and ballooning debt, his breakup with singer Mariah Carey, and links to a corruption scandal involving Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The billionaire earlier resigned as the director of Crown Resorts and checked himself into a psychiatric facility in Boston.
