Beijing has warned online sports lottery platforms, which have experienced brisk sales due to the 2018 World Cup, to stop their operations or face dire consequences.

 

The Chinese government is enforcing a three-year-old ‘suspension.’

The Global Times reported that the online lottery platform operators which were ‘temporarily’ suspended from operating three years ago raked in earnings from last week's 2018 World Cup kick-off.
