The UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) admonished two online gambling operators for using “child-friendly” characters, such as animals, fairies, dragons and Santa Claus, in their games.


ASA vows to purge online gambling of kid-friendly content.

The ASA flagged several game titles from Progress Play's games-some of which were based on the Red Riding Hood and Hansel & Gretel fairy tales-were on “free to play” mode and were popular with children. Meanwhile, TGP claimed that Santa Claus and castles they used in their games were adult concepts.

The upholding of complaints against the two operators shows that ASA is coming through in its commitment to purge online gambling websites of any kid-friendly content.
