The Story

Clients of shuttered Nevada-licensed entity betting operator Bettor Investments were left scratching their heads on how they will get their money back.

The company promised a steady profit for its investors.

Bettor Investments, with its “mathematical probability calculations and statistical analysis,” made an average of 93 bets per month, none of which exceeded 2% of the fund’s total capital. However, it closed down in November 2016 due to the “sketchy technology” and illegal gambling connections of its partner CGT Technology.

Instead of returning funds to clients, the Bettor Investments management issued promissory notes. Yet, when the notes fell last year, the company left their clients in the cold and failed to respond to their emails. The Nevada secretary of state and attorney general received complaints from Bettor Investments clients and started an investigation on the matter.
