A lawmaker in Nigeria has warned 18 lottery operators that he will ask for the revocation of their licenses should they continue to dodge their financial obligations.

 

Only 3 operators are paying their duties

Rep. Suleiman Hussaini Kangiwa, chair of the House committee on governmental affairs, threatened to have the erring license holders arrested. The lottery operators cited the multiple taxation and low revenues as the reasons why they have failed to pay their obligations.
