Ever since Peter Eastgate decided to quit poker earlier on this year he’s still been in the news for one reason or another. We like the Danishman’s latest stunt though. Earlier this week it was announced that young Peter was auctioning his 2008 WSOP Main Event bracelet on the popular online auction site eBay. Then Tony G told the world that he was going to win the bracelet so that his dog had a nice new collar.
What Tony G wasn’t expecting was the bidding to rise from the approximately $17,500 that he originally hoped to pick the bracelet up for. This sparked off a bidding war which resulted in the piece of silver reaching almost 50 g’s, but now Tony G has hit back with his latest blog post.
In it he again seems reiterate that he will get his dog’s accessory, no doubt about it. Tony commented: “Carry on bidding, this bracelet is going to go for six figures. I respect Zasko too much to not pay what it takes but I do have limits.”
He does have a back up plan, in the shape of a Facebook comment he received from Germany’s Thomas ‘Buzzer’ Bihl, and he said: “He offered to sell me his so I always have options. I have said before that Zasko has such an impeccable bloodline that I am looking at a breeding programme to provide protection for my houses worldwide – baby Zaskos also need bracelets!”
This is likely to roll on quite a bit longer though, and the current price for those wondering is…$52,100.
