Another Philly flop on the horizon?

Kevin Kolb has just won two games in a row for the Philadelphia Eagles and he’s playing extremely well. Kolb wasn’t being o’l captain checkdown that he appeared to be when he came in the for injured Vick, and the main difference is he’s getting the preparation time in. Kolb is getting the first team snaps with Vick out and he’s taken over the team and now he’s winning games.

So what does coach Andy Reid do? Kolb looks like the solid QB that made trading away Donovan McNabb make sense. The team is winning right now, does Andy Reid stick with Kolb? Reid has already said that Kolb is the likely starter against the Titans on Sunday as Vick is still not at 100%. So what if Kolb wins against the Titans and makes it 3 straight wins?

It’s hard to see Reid being able to pull a QB out who has won 3 straight games against some pretty solid teams, no matter how good Michael Vick is. And let’s be honest, it wouldn’t surprise anyone if Reid pulled yet another Philly flop and named Kolb the starter for the rest of the season, he probably has trouble picking what shirt he wears to practice… But either way you look at it, having two legit QB’s is a good problem for Reid to have. The thing you don’t want to see is Reid swapping QB’s left and right when they have a bad game or worse yet, in mid-game. Flip flopping like that doesn’t help the team and that doesn’t show confidence in the QB, it really does have to be one or the other in my opinion. So, will Kolb be named the starter for the rest of the year? Or will Vick get a chance to win it back?

It doesn’t look good for the Eagles next week though, their dynamic playmaker Desean Jackson got absolutely obliterated by a reckless hit by Dunta Robinson on Sunday. Honestly, I thought he was dead, it was a fucking train wreck. See for yourself…
