If the reports coming out of Inspired Gaming are true, then it makes a damning indictment of the American pizza market. The world’s largest supplier of Server-Based Gaming (SBG) terminals has returned to it’s favourite pizza nation of Italy to open up a partnership with a leading manufacturer of AWPs and casino slots, Merkur Gaming.
After being taken over by Vitruvian Partners in July, and at the same time moving from public to private ownership, Inspired became one of the three recognized VLT suppliers by the AAMS, and was the second to install their product in the European country. In addition to this Inspired have the first and only HD gaming machine on the market right now – ‘Storm.’
Luke Alvarez, CEO of Inspired, commented: “Italy is a key market for Inspired and we are already making an impact with the strength of our VLT system and range of compelling VLT products. Because we believe in always excelling the competition, our Open VLT platform is built to be ‘open’ to partnerships with the industry’s best companies.”
Merkur gaming, on the other hand, are able to offer Comma 6a machines, of which they are a trusted supplier, to the Italian market, offering the best choice of high quality cabinets and games.
Jens Stradtmann, CEO of Merkur Gaming, commented: “With the birth of VLTs in Italy, we are convinced that our experience in the Comma 6a market and the high quality of all our products will be very popular with operators and players, guaranteeing the success of Merkur Inspired in the Italian VLT market.”
