New Jersey pols schedule summit to devise casino rescue plan

New-Jersey-Gaming-Summit-RescueAs gaming officials released figures showing Atlantic City’s casinos brought in 11% less revenue in June than in the previous year, New Jersey politicians have announced they will convene a ‘gaming summit’ at which plans will be laid for some kind of rescue operation to ensure the long term viability of the state’s casino industry. Given that the 11% drop occurred even before Pennsylvania’s table games went live, this is a rescue operation that even the Israeli commandos that pulled off that Entebbe job might view with pessimism.
