Tuesday 15th October 2019 – Racing Post is thrilled to announce it has been shortlisted for Sports Affiliate of the Year and Best Land-Based Betting & Gaming Product at the sixth annual edition of the 2019 SBC Awards.
The ceremony will take place on Tuesday, December 3 at Battersea Evolution, with over 700 industry professionals attending. The yearly awards recognise the achievements of operators and affiliates, as well as suppliers from across all the major disciplines including payments, marketing, platform providers and data.
Racing Post has been nominated for land-based product of the year for the recently launched Racing Post Digital Betting Shop Display, which showcases the business’ transition from print to digital services. This now features in two Ladbrokes betting shops in Ireland, creating a paperless betting shop concept alongside the Racing Post Touch. The product has been a huge success since the Galway festival and there is now plans to roll it out across more shops in the UK and Ireland in the coming months.
Speaking on the nomination, Head of Retail at Racing Post, Alan Pepperell said: “Our Digital Betting Shop Display has been developed with our partners over the past few months. I believe this nomination is very much deserved for the people who have helped along the way and it’s just the first step in helping betting shops around the country to innovate and progress in a difficult period and eventually become paperless.”
Racing Post affiliate services continue to find innovative ways to support and collaborate with their partners, including dedicated free bets pages and creative CRM to help their partners acquire customers. Racing Post also founded Responsible Affiliates in Gambling (RAIG) this year, which aims to promote the socially responsible marketing of gambling products.
Responding to the news of being shortlisted, Racing Post Digital Director Cian Nugent said: “We are delighted to be shortlisted for one of the top affiliate awards at one of the most prestigious events in the industry’s calendar. To be shortlisted shows the hard work and dedication the team have put in to ensure that Racing Post is an ideal affiliate partner. The sports-focused nomination demonstrates that our value as a partner extends beyond just horseracing and we provide an authoritative and trustworthy platform for sports as well.”
