The second edition of the Global Poker Index European Poker Conference returns as part of the 2017 SiGMA Conference, and the panellists and discussion topics are out.
The Global Poker Index (GPI), European Poker Conference, is back, but you have to be in Malta to experience it.
On Thursday, GPI Owner, Alex Dreyfus, will make the short hop, skip and a jump to the Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre, to martial five, 45-minute talks on all things poker, and the names of the panellists and subject matter are out.
It’s the second time Dreyfus and his team has held a European Poker Conference. The inaugural event took place in 2015, as part of the European Poker Tour (EPT) festivities in Malta, and this time Dreyfus has decided there is more power in partnership by shoving the conference into the ample bosom of the 2017 Malta iGaming Summit (SiGMA).
SiGMA is celebrating its fourth birthday. Last year, more than 4,000 people attended the event, and organisers are expecting those levels to rise to 7,000. The whole thing is sandwiched between Nov 22 – 25, with the Poker Conference appearing on the agenda Nov 23.
Here is the nitty-gritty.

Wot No European Poker Awards?
Two years ago, when the European Poker Conference first made its bow, it did so in partnership with the European Poker Awards (EPA).
So what gives?
For the first time since 2011, we won’t be having an awards ceremony in 2017.
You only have to look at the Twitter feed of Dreyfus to see that he is a busy man, but the news on the grapevine is the EPA will return in 2018.
