Maria Ho has joined the Poker Central team.
The busiest poker player in the business will host a brand new show called “Poker Central Live With Maria Ho.” The show will be aired on Poker Central’s Twitch channel at the end of the month.
The show will consist of Maria Ho playing online poker whilst simultaneously interacting with celebrities and fellow poker pros. It will be interesting to see what online poker platform she will play on. The show will also feature clips from other Poker Central programs with Maria giving her expert opinion on the action.
“We are excited to welcome Maria Ho to Poker Central,” said Clint Stinchcomb, CEO of Poker Central. “As one of the best female poker pros in the world, her knowledge of the game, and her great personality and charm, make Maria a welcome addition to our team.”
Ho told the associated press that she was ‘thrilled to be a part of Poker Central’s vision to drive and broadcast innovative programming through various platforms.”
Poker Central will become the only 24/7 poker TV network when it launches on Oct 1, 2015. The addition of the Twitch channel means Poker Central will not only be entertaining, but educational and interactive as well. The exact program schedule is unclear with the press release stating that Ho ‘Will stream every week for several hours.’
Ho is one of the most consistently busiest poker players on the circuit. She is the WinStar World Casino ambassador and will feature alongside David Tuchman in a new project called Poker Night: The Tour a new show created by Dustin Iannotti. Ho is also the host for the upcoming Battle of Malta, a successful sensible buy-in event brought to you by the PokerListings crew.
Poker Central recently aired its Super High Roller Celebrity Shootout content on NBCSN, and has been working on two more shows in preparation for that October launch. Pokerography is a biography type show that will provide you with insights into the lives of some of the world’s most successful players, and World Poker Tour (WPT) Executive Tour Director, Matt Savage, will host a program called Inside Poker, where he will be interacting with a whole host of poker insiders to bring you the lowdown on one of the most interesting little bubbles most of the world aren’t even aware exists.
