Partypoker Pokerfest promises to be huge with 90-events, over $3m in guaranteed prize money hosted both online and live at Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham.
Online poker players will be rubbing coconut oil on those weary whorls as summer ends with an avalanche of action on the virtual felt.
Partypoker is the latest major online poker room to announce a few reasons to turn ones bedroom into a bomb shelter – 80 to be exact. The Pokerfest pilgrimage returns, only this time with a twist. Pokerfest Live gives heroes a reason to leave the bat cave.
Dusk Till Dawn (DTD) card room in Nottingham will be the host venue for the Pokerfest Live portion of the extravaganza. Rob Yong and Simon Trumper will remove cloaks of anonymity as the quarry sits down for 10 delicious courses of chip riffling, card shuffling and corny joke crunching.
The action will begin Fri 28 Aug with a £70 buy-in Mini Live Day 1. It ends on Sun 6 Sep with a £330 buy-in 6-Max event. There are 10 events in total. The £70 Mini, Second Chance and 6-Max carry the lowest buy-in bookend, and the £1,100 buy-in High Roller squeezes things in from the other end. The star attraction is the £330 Main Event beginning on Mon 31 Aug. There is also a £330 Ladies event and £330 Seniors (50+) event. Online qualifiers have been running since the beginning of July, and will continue until 1 Sep.
Pokerfest Live provides extra value with their Golden Chip promotion. You accumulate Golden Chips playing online at partypoker. Players with Golden Chips are entered into a Last Longer contest where the winner bags a $3,500 DTD ticket. There are also fantastic prizes for Golden Chip winners who make the final table of the Main Event, including a promise to double your money if you win it.

“Pokerfest is such an iconic partypoker event and celebrates the best of online and live poker – it’s great to see it back and bigger than ever. I’m really looking forward to taking part and I’ll be playing with a bounty on me so I can’t wait to see who wants to come and take me on at the tables!”
