Football fans can be borderline fanatical at times. Some even lose their sanities temporarily and make ill-advised life choices.
Take the case of Arsenal fan Henry Dhabasani for example.
We don’t know if he was really confident about his team or he was underestimating Manchester United, but for some reason, Dhabasani felt like wagering his house in a bet with his friend, Rashid Yiga, wasn’t the least bit insane at all. Maybe he even thought that a draw would’ve been the most likely scenario, thus rendering his wager with his buddy void.
Whatever his rationale was, he probably regrets making that bet now. Not only did Arsenal lose, but more importantly for this husband of three and father of five (that’s another story for another time), he lost more than just his pride, he lost his actual house, too.
Arsenal’s 1-0 loss to Manchester United is probably the farthest thing in the mind of this super fan. He’s going to have to explain to his families how he managed to loss it in a bet that would’ve only netted him a Toyota Premio and Yiga’s wife.
Well, come to think of it, that wife part probably enticed Dhabasani to add to his string of lovelies and shake on the bet with Yiga. But if you’re going to make such a bet with dramatic repercussions to your life, you probably might have to be sure you know something the other doesn’t better you sign off on that deal.
Otherwise, you might have no house to come home to, and quite literally, in this case.
