Bet365 have agreed a deal with Newbury Racecourse that will see them become the new headline sponsor for the 2013 Bet365 Hennessy Heritage Festival.
Bet365 have once again hit the gambling news, following up their recent deal with Williams Interactive, by agreeing terms with Newbury Racecourse that will see the potteries outfit sponsoring 13 of the 21 races, when the classic takes place at the end of November.
“The Hennessy Gold Cup is one of the most prestigious races run in the National Hunt calendar and is always a favorite with racing fans,” said Denise Coates, the joint chief executive of Bet365. “We’re delighted to be supporting the Heritage Festival and we look forward to working with The Racecourse Newbury and Hennessy.”
Bet365 are in good company as Hennessey’s has also extended their sponsorship with Newbury for another three-years. The sponsorship of the £175k Gold Cup handicap is the longest commercial racing sponsorship in Britain. The 2013 race will be the 57th under the banner of Hennessey. Amongst the races that Bet365 will sponsor is the Grade Two Long Distance Hurdle that has been dominated by Big Buck in recent years.
“We are thrilled to welcome on board Bet365 for one of Britain’s biggest racing events and equally delighted that Hennessy have extended their sponsorship,” said the joint managing director of the Racecourse Newbury, Stephen Higgins.
“Bet365 are a worldwide brand, well-known for their support of British racing, and it’s fantastic to have another high-profile sponsor join us on Hennessy Gold Cup Day.”
This will be great news for UK politicians as figures recently released under the Freedom of Information Act guidelines showed that members of parliament and their staff visited the Bet365 site 17k times in just one month.
That figure was pulled out of 700k gambling sites hit by Parliament, over the past year, an average of 1.3 hits every single minute that we are paying them to do something more useful.
