Italian gaming firm Lottomatica Group has confirmed a change of name to GTECH as they look to further global expansion. Lottomatica explained in a release that the changes are aimed at “supporting growth”, “improving efficiency”, and “enchancing profitability across operations”. They also confirmed the move will “step up the pace of internationalization” before their chairman Lorenzo Pellicioli added: “What we have achieved since the acquisition of GTECH is the creation of a global vehicle to address opportunities across the entire gaming continuum.”
Casino software provider Quickfire has been chosen by Curacao-licensed Casino-x to be their casino games provider. Casino-x chose the Microgaming powered brand to provide it with over 400 games that range from slots and table games to branded content and video poker. Ashley Sandyford-Sykes, Head of Quickfire, added: “It’s fantastic that Casino-x has chosen Quickfire as its exclusive software provider. We are confident that the international popularity of Microgaming content will not only attract players to their site but will also be ideal for them to gain market share.”
German lottery specialists Tipp24 have taken the step of appointing a prominent business graduate as their new chief financial officer. Andreas Keil takes up the CFO position on Feb. 1 and it means that Dr Hans Cornehl will move back upstairs and become chairman of the executive board.
Gaming solutions provider FutureLogic have had a successful job hunt with the end result the appointment of Tony Shepherd as their CFO. Shepherd, like Keil, doesn’t have a background in gaming and the new recruit will take a position that has been vacated by Jon Huntley – who joins the company’s board of directors.
